Meet The Blackpool Team

Gee Godfrey-Brown, BA (Hons)., MBA

Owner/Director

Wanting a career with dogs, Gee completed his MBA, so he could go on to do a PhD Animal Behaviour and Welfare (which he is currently working towards). Within a couple of months of starting up, such was the success of the business Gee’s quickly needed a couple of extra pairs of hands to meet the demand that was spreading purely by word of mouth.

Gee had written his business plan, prior to starting with his first client and as you can see from the name, he aimed to open a doggie daycare. Knowing there was a lot to sort out before that could happen, he got to work taking pet first aid classes, dog sitting diploma and many more courses. All the while walking dogs was also giving him the experience of being around dogs all day and to take care of them.

Volunteer

Since I retired I like dogs companionship more than humans. So I volunteer at Gee's and help out when ever I am needed. It could be to take a small dog for a walk or to sit at the Day Care with the dogs that are staying over. It is better than sitting at home on my own, and I especially love playing with the puppies what come whilst their owners are at work.

Charlie Godfrey-Brown

Volunteer

Currently still at school, so I only help out during the weekend and school holidays.

I have grown up with dogs being a big part of our family and I love being around them, so when my Dad, Gee, decided to start this business I jumped at the chance to help and get experience in the field of Animal Behaviour and Welfare. It has taught me a sense of responsibility and that you have to work hard to get ahead in life.

Who knows what the future brings, but I know the lessons I have learned while volunteering here will stay with me forever, and no matter where I go there will always be a dog at my side.

Social Media Liaison

I have known Gee, all my life, so when he decided to start this business I said I would help out as much as I could.

Not living in Blackpool I did not see what I could do for him, but Gee had a bigger picture in mind and knew the business would out grow him being able to do it all on his own.

Therefore, he decided to turn over all social media to me. Though I do not do it as a full time job, I love being apart of this team and contributing what I can when I can.

It is only going to get bigger as time goes on and I look forward to meeting and talking to who ever comes aboard the big Gee Dog train.

Sophie Evans

Dog Walker/Sitter

Hi, I'm Sophie, and I live in the Thornton-Cleveleys area

I have used Gee myself for a dog walker/groomer for almost 2 years now, and I can not fault him at all. Nothing is ever a problem.

I am looking to start working alongside him & his business to help expand & also a job I love & fits in with my day to day life.

I have as much love for animals as he does!

I have always grown up with dogs and then gone on to own my own dogs, so I have lots of experience in all sizes, too.

I own an American bulldog and a lab cross myself, so I a bit of a mixture and have always dealt with epilepsy in dogs as my oldest can have fits, I have managed to get this under control myself!

As any doggie owner would agree, dogs are better than humans. How can you not love them

Any questions please free to get in touch & I hope to hear from use all soon.

Jenny Kay

Dog Walker/Sitter

Hi, I'm Jenny and I live in South Shore. I ensure reliable and trustworthy professionalism when it comes to your pets; I value people's trust and worries when it comes to leaving their dogs in my hands.

Additionally, I am an organised and efficient person who takes great pleasure in meeting new people and pets to make sure their needs are met and cared for.

My experience of growing up surrounded by pets has allowed me to be comfortable around all animals; I am excited to learn more about dogs through this amazing experience.
